Why won't my iPhone 5C and iPod touch 5 turn on or show any signs of charging?

My iPhone 5c is will not turn on or show any signs of being plugged in or needing to be charged. Recently no chargers that I have tried using work very well but normally it is fine. I tried holding down the power button and nothing happened at all. The same thing is happening to my iPod touch 5 which i rarely use. I just recently downloaded the new update for my iPhone but not my iPod touch. I plugged it in all night and the [problem occurred this morning. I tried turning it on when it was plugged in and when it was off. I am more concerned about fixing my iPhone than my iPod touch. Let me know if you need any more information about it.
