Can't sync music from iTunes onto my iPhone 5c?

I added a lot of music onto my computer from CDs recently, and I tried to add it to my iPhone 5c by syncing it. After it was done syncing, none of the new music appeared on my phone. I have tried this many times, and tried tweaking various settings to fix it. It goes through the syncing process and says it's done sycning every time, but the new music never shows up on my phone. Any ideas on why this might be happening, or what I can do to fix it?

I have the most recent updates of iTunes and iOS.

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.4

You use phrases like "many times", and "tweaking various settings", so we cannot tell exactly what you have tried and not tried.

Further, you said "... add it to my iPhone 5C by syncing it." We cannot tell if you tried to sync wirelessly or by plugging your iPhone into your computer's iTunes.

Plug your iPhone into your computer's iTunes. Go to the Settings > Music tab shown here:

Make sure you have an appropriate sync selection done like this, for example:

If that does not solve your issue, tell us more about your settings, including your iPhone's Settings > Music settings, whether you use iCloud Music Library, and whether you have subscribed to Apple Music.
