10.10.x Bluetooth Mouse Stutter / Lag / Jittering

I recently bought a Mircosoft bluetooth 4.0 designer mouse to pair with my MBP 2015 13inch.

The mbp paired well with the bluetooth mouse and even named it correctly.

OSX version: 10.10.4 Yosemite

However, there was a noticeable lag and stuttering in the mouse movements.

I setup an online chat with Apple support and they told me it might be a microsoft mouse/driver problem? (what?)

I am convinced this issue is a Yosemite or Macbook problem.

Here's the reason why:

  1. No mouse lag issue when wifi is turned off (serious deal-breaker)
  2. No mouse lag issue when wifi is connected to 5ghz wireless network. (perhaps wifi 2.4ghz interfere with bluetooth? what?!)
  3. No mouse lag issue when using a usb mouse with wifi turned on
  4. Bluetooth mouse works properly with other devices (windows laptop)

I don't understand why this isn't an apple issue.

Anyone has any fixes or ideas ?

Same issue. Mid 2014 MBP 15in Retina. Logitech MX Master. There is also a huge rambling going on in their support forums about this.

The one point I want to make is I did not have this problem prior to El Capitan.

Until a solution I am just hardwired with an old Logitech mouse. Working flawlessly. Will plug in the MX Master from time to time to test, able to tell quite easily the difference. Pretty disappointing to say the least as the MX Master, when working, was probably the best mouse I have ever used.

Hello,

same roblem.

Macbook 2010 with magic mouse BT.

I have three different magic mouses, same problem.

It seems that when I have heavy traffic on SSD samsung 850 evo the mouse get very sluggy with lags and slow movements.

Even when I use time machine with external firewire 2,5 disk the mouse sometimes get slow.

Also sometimes when I use excel or word.

Big issue with I use disk inventory scanning whole SSD It's a mess but not continuous problems;

seems randomly slow but generally not responsive as usual.

Same issue here on 15" Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2015. Switch to 5Ghz WIFI @ home fixed the issue.. but this isn't something i can count on when I travel. Sounds to me like a hardware / signal interferance problem. Can someone on Apple support chime in and state if this issue has been identified, and if a fix is in the works?

Same issue here, on *some* wifi networks.

This issue appeared when I started to use a Logitech MX Master in my office. I previously used a Magic Mouse without any problems but the lag appeared as soon as I started to use the Logitech mouse.

I have access to 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks in the same location. If connected to the former type of network, the lag on the Logitech makes me want to scream. If connected to the latter, everything works like a charm. But, again, no issues at all while using a Magic Mouse, even when connected to a 2.4GHz network. So is this really an Apple issue?

I have exactly the same problem with my MX Anywhere 2. It seems the only two things that fix this is to a) Use 5GHz wifi b) switch off wifi and use a network connection via cable.

This is honestly driving me insane. It is most definitely not the fault of the mouse manufacturer but instead an issue with the MBP or OS X. Will there ever be a fix for this?

So I bought an USB incompatible MB12" (which has freaking softer aluminium then an iPhone 6). Forced to buy a EXPENSIVE bluetooth mouse because otherwise I cannot charge (Correct you didn't design an expensive USB-C to USB adapter with charging port...), to discover my freaking mouse stutters when using it. Useless piece of beautiful design. Instead of ignoring this topic and counting the offshore money pile, can someone from Apple finally give an official statement ons this? Would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance...
