i can't search iTunes because the keyboard doesn't work right. It is either off screen or the keys that were off screen don't register

I see that you are experiencing an issue with your keyboard on your iPad. I would like to suggest that you first try restarting your iPad to address this issue, then force reset the iPad if the issue is not resolved:
