AirPrint with Epson printer

Hi -

When trying to use Epson CDPrint, I keep getting the following message below though have downloaded the Epson driver -

"Your Mac is connected to the printer via AirPrint.

To print from Print CD, you need to use a driver provided by Epson."

Pretty sure I could print if use a USB cable but am short on ports and defeats the purpose.

What am I doing wrong?

Thx in advance

If the printer supports AirPrint (and from what you have written it does) then when you add the printer the built-in AirPrint driver will be automatically selected. To check if you did create the printer using the AirPrint driver, open Printers & Scanners and select the Epson. In the right pane you will see an entry labelled Kind. If this show AirPrint in the name then you did create the printer using the Apple driver. The solution is to remove this printer, or leave it and create a new one, this time ensuring you select the Epson model in the Use menu.
