How can I change de Backup Folder to an external drive?

If you have an external drive that you have setup as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) format, you can go to System Preferences, open TimeMachine and turn it on with the external drive specified as the location for the backup.

Connect the mac to the external drive and set up Time Machine, automatically all your folders will be on the external drive as back up.
