Preparing files on MPEG Streamclip for FCP

Still trying to master converting files correctly...mpeg stream clip not working, see shot below:

...has anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it? What am I doing wrong? thanks

IT could be. I don't know anything about that program. You should have been given the original media in the camera card structure so you could import the AVCHD directly into FCP and have it processed into QuickTime, which FCP does automatically.

yes well thats the way I would normally do if it was my own footage. Right I'll fire ahead today and try to bring them to a workable state. Thanks again

Hi Tom,

did a test run on importing the m4v files into fcpx and instead of trying to convert the files in mpeg stream clip I've run with Als idea:

clicked, Transcode media, then clicked on create optimised media
then imported the audio and synched it before creating the multicam clip
Info on the multicam clip is saying that the 50fps is now 25i. What does the i mean?
Can you confirm that this is a better place to start now? Picture quality looks much better.
audio is at 48Hz as recommended
