Preparing files on MPEG Streamclip for FCP

Still trying to master converting files correctly...mpeg stream clip not working, see shot below:User uploaded file

...has anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it? What am I doing wrong? thanks

Hi Tom,


did a test run on importing the m4v files into fcpx and instead of trying to convert the files in mpeg stream clip I've run with Als idea:

  • clicked, Transcode media, then clicked on create optimised media
  • then imported the audio and synched it before creating the multicam clip
  • Info on the multicam clip is saying that the 50fps is now 25i. What does the i mean?
  • Can you confirm that this is a better place to start now? Picture quality looks much better.
  • audio is at 48Hz as recommended
  • It won't allow me to transcode the audio but I think its okay, can you confirm from the details below:User uploaded file
