You do realize that you get post warranty support from Apple. Was this warranty claim you got from Verizon free? How much do they charge you for an extended warranty (curious). If you are out of warranty and there is a defect, then you are offered an out of warranty replacement at Apple, which has a 90 day warranty or the balance of the phone's warranty, whichever is longest. And of course, there is always Apple Care Plus, which extends your iPhone warranty from 1 year to 2 and extends your phone support from 90 days to 2 years. And Apple's replacements are Apple refurbished, which you cannot tell from brand new, receive extensive testing and are warrantied. Good luck with your changed out device.

I Found the extended warranty in with my insurance charges. I have 3 iPhones getting charged different amounts for insurance which I will be talking to Verizon about today. But mine was the cheapest insurance at $9.99 a month. I had another at $10.00 a month and one at $11.00. Not sure why the differences but they all have different names so in assuming the coverages are different. Besides the monthly insurance fee there was no charges for the warranty exchange. I did the warranty claim on Wednesday and they overnightled the repacement to me for free with return shipping for on the old device. I would love to be able to drop in an Apple Store whenever I had a problem but the 2 closest stores are 120 miles away in opposite directions. I'm not driving that far for a phone repclement I can get in town for free.

Here's my story....

I had this problem 2 weeks ago, the touchscreen stopped working sporadically at first, then became constant, sometime it wouldn't respond at all or I would touch one app and another would open. I tried restarting it when I actually could turn it off but didn't hel[p.

I took it to my ATT provider and they told me to go the Apple store in Portland, OR.

So I off to the Apple store across town, after waiting an hour they said they were aware of the problem and gave me replacement phone, no charge.

2 days later...., the new replacement phone start doing the same thing, one again I have to go to Apple where they give me ANOTHER replacement phone. the said no way it'll happen again. I figure "ya, just a fluke, third times a charm...."

WELL,....today, after less than a week with my 3rd IPhone 6 Plus it does the same thing.

I love Apple products but I am so angry, Im a self employed contractor and need my phone to be working when I need it which is all the time.

So all that to say this..... I'm on my 4th phone in two weeks and am anticipating it happening again.....

I've been experiencing the same thing for about 2 years now with the same device from 16GB to 64GB different colors of the phone but it has always been an iPhone 6 Plus. I don't know if it's a software issue or something that I'm doing but I know it's happen countless times even after I've gotten replacements. Quite frankly I'm sick of it. It's a huge inconvenience to keep going to the "nearest" apple store when it's like 20 miles from where I am. Due to that I have apple care I can get a free phone but why constantly doing that for not only a defective software but for a defective device.😠
