Need MAC address to log on to network

Our home network is set up to only allow machines access that are on the whitelist of Wireless MAC addresses. I have a new iPad 4th gen and it wants to set up BEFORE I can access settings. I can't get MAC address without accessing settings. iPad wants me to connect to network to complete set up - cannot activate bluetooth or connect to WiFi because I don't have MAC address of this machine and can't get it without connecting to network. Anyone?

unlike ip addresses then mac addresses are not given by a network it like the IMEI is a uniq number that the manufacturer gave the device and no 2 devices on the planet has the same mac address

it's located in settings->general->about->wifi address

not sure why ios calls it wifi address though

The answer is the same as it was yesterday. You can ask the question 1,000 times and the answer will not change. You cannot get into the settings until you active at the iPad. You will have to activate it using another wIfi network or plug it into a computer running iTunes and activate it that way.
