Information the back of a phone - Does it give proof of being real?

I am thinking about buying an iPhone 5S on Craigslist. The buyer seems very friendly and legit, but to be safe I have been doing research. Since I have not been able to find it, I'm asking it here. So the title stands, what does the information on the back of an iPhone mean? Is it proof of genuine apple product?

Proof? No. Anything printed onto or into the exterior of a case can be mimicked on a counterfeit device. Ultimately, the best, assurance of getting a genuine Apple product is to buy it from Apple or an authorized reseller. When you buy anything used in a private sale, you take a chance on just what you get. That is especially so without having physically examined the item in question before paying for it.
