why does the itunes store have a price still?
Hi all,
I've subscribed to Apple Music but when I look in the store there is still a price next to songs/albums etc. Am I going to be charged?
Thanks.

iTunes Store is still the same, becouse of older iOS users. Apple Music and iCloud Music Library requires iOS 8.4. Not everyone has the latest and greatest stuff from Apple. And many people will never buy anything newer from Apple. They make too expensive solutions now, and their oses and services are too useless, even for keeping and playing music now.
If you buy something from the iTunes Store you will be charged. You need to look very carefully at whether a link in iTunes has sent you to the store or Apple Music. Be especially careful of "Search in Apple Music" buttons because at least one of them in iTunes 12.2.1 actually sends you to the store.
I tried turning off the iTunes Store in preferences but for some reason that turns off Apple Music too. Until Apple realise people buying subscriptions aren't interested in buying individual tracks we just have to be extra careful.
We are talking here about mobile (iOS) solutions and not useless dinosaurs like iTunes and Mac computers.
Thanks for the help. I've also noticed that it downloads to my Mac in a protected file type meaning I can't stream through my Sonos.
Doesn't look like Apple music will work for me.
The useless "Open in iTunes Store" buttons are in the iOS app too, as though anyone paying for streaming would ever want to do that. And the same warning about not purchasing songs you have to stream applies too.
On iOS you can at least turn off the iTunes store and still use Apple Music. Doesn't get rid of the "Open in iTunes Store" buttons though. It just makes them non-functional.
