getting rid of malware on ipad air

This may come up as a question twice as i was not sure if it posted from my ipad. I seem to have acquired some malware on my ipad air. Safari and Facebook apps are often interrupted by a webpage www:smartmoneytime which on microsoft is a well known virus. I use AVG on my Microsoft products. How do I get rid of this on my ipad air? I dont know how I got it and can't find any antivirus programs to deal with it?

There are no viruses for iPad.

Go to Settings - Safari - Clear History and Website Data.

If this does not help, reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
  • Press and hold on the Home button
  • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
