iTunes 12.2 cannot transfer songs to iPhone (iOS8.4)

As titled, when an iOS8.4 iPhone is connected to iTunes 12.2, the songs stored in local computer cannot be transferred to iPhone - and the following text come up.

"Some of the files were not copied to the iPhone “name of iPhone” because iCloud Music Library is enabled on this iPhone."

Please advise for the solution

I have read online that if I disable iCloud music library when I enable it later after copying my music that I've downloaded to iTunes, it will NOT automatically re-download all of my Apple Music Library. Can anyone clear this up for me? I don't want to disable iCloud music library unless when I re-enable it, my liabray will download automatically.

Thanks,

Craig

You have to disable your iCloud music library in settings. It will delete all of the music you downloaded and remove the albums you have added. Then you can transfer music via iTunes. When you are done, you can turn the iCloud music library back on. It will restore the albums you've added and then re download the tracks you initially had. Kind of a pain...but it's the only way I've found.

Wow, first time I have been censured on this discussion groups. My post has been just vanished.

Just because I have used the word stupid on it? Totally unjust.

Anyway, I came back to report that I has slammed Apple on this one maybe too soon, but what is it with your cryptical error messages that have the ability to really enrage your customers without really explaining what is happening backstage?

Well, here is what has happened to me, I hope this helps others with the same problem:

I transferred 1GB of music tracks from an audio guide I just bought to my next trip to Rome. The DVD came with 92 common MP3 128kbps non protected tracks, nothing fancy here. I dragged all the tracks into iTunes on the MBP and was shocked after seeing the infamous "Some of the files were not copied to the iPhone “name of iPhone” because iCloud Music Library is enabled on this iPhone." message when trying to manually drag them to my iPhone 6 plus,

I am testing the Apple Music service at the moment and was really ****** off because I have never had this problem transferring tracks to my iPhone before. I then rushed into the iTunes feedback page and voiced my complain to Apple.

What followed has really blow me out of the water:

My upload internet connection is channel is really lackluster, 1mbps. Can you guess my surprise when I found that after just MINUTES the hole playlist showed on my iPhone under the My Music tab? I could then play all the tracks of the audio guide from there. I could not believe my eyes so I proceeded to activate fly mode on the iPhone and as expected all the songs disappeared. After this I decided to go online again with the iPhone and mark the playlist as Make Available Offline. All the playlist's tracks were downloaded in minutes to the iPhone and now sit there to be played whenever I want.

I think the Music app has transferred the tracks automatically using my local network, or maybe Apple has found a way to secretly break the laws of physics, I really don't know. I have to say that I DO NOT have enabled the Share My Library on the Local Network tab on iTunes preferences.

I have no idea how they did it but the tracks have been transferred, so if you see the same error message just let the Mac stay on and wait some minutes to see if the songs appear in your phone.

If you have iCloud Music enabled on your MBP then what probably happened is after you added the tracks to iTunes on your MBP, the tracks are then automatically added to your iCloud Music Library. From there they are available to any of your devices that are signed in with the same Apple ID as your MBP. And yes, if you are in airplane mode, you would first have to "enable for offline" which causes the iPhone to actually download the tracks from your library.

Yes - but as soon as you re-enable iCloud Music Library on the iPhone and connect to the internet, the tracks will be removed because they are not part of your iCloud Music Library. With that service enabled, the only way to get music from your computer to your iPhone is to have both signed into the iCloud Music Library with the same Apple ID and then download them to the iPhone.

I agree that it is a bit of a pain, but at least there is a way to have music available offline - as opposed to iTunes Match which was either using that stream/download service or syncing to a computer.

I understand this but how do you explain the speed the tracks took to get transferred to the iPhone from the MBP? The maths say that this transfer should have taken at least 2 hours if not more and they popped just after some minutes on the phone.

I know that for some things that are found in the Apple catalog this gets done pretty fast as what you receive on your devices after iTunes analyses the tracks are just copies of what Apple already has on store, and there is nothing to be uploaded. But I am more than sure that this audioguide in Spanish with the name Audioguía Tutta Roma is not found on the iTunes Store.

How did they manage to transfer almost 1GB of MP3 tracks on less than half hour to their servers over a 1mbps channel?

Are they downscaling the quality of the tracks so they can be uploaded faster?

I most say that I AM NOT an iTunes Match subscriber, I am just testing Apple Music.

Can you explain that?
