`Apple Music` skips tracks.

After updating iTunes, Apple Music (apple's new streaming service) skips most tracks. In this screen-record video (link below), all tracks are skipped on this album, but at times, there are a couple to a few tracks that work fine. I use Apple Music in Canada. I am using Apple Music during the 3 month trial period. Someone else in my household is Apple Music too. We are each using individual trials under separate accounts, not the family Apple Music pack. They are experiencing the same issue.

I live in Canada using iTunes version 12.1.16 on a MacBook Pro.

The same thing happens to me on multiple Macs and on my iPhone in the Dallas Texas, USA area. It's just when streaming.

It's doing it right now on a Mac Pro 12 Core with 32 megs of RAM wired to the Internet. Not just wireless streaming, though it does it with that too.

$10 a month for this crap quality control from Apple.

BTW, why is it that Apple's own browser has problems with it's comments web site? On multiple Macs, as I type in this comment window Safari will just randomly jump my cursor a couple lines above the line I'm on and puts it at the end, so all of a sudden the text I'm typing is being typed at the end of a line above. This issue has been around for years. Why can't Apple fix this bug in their browser on their web site on their OS on their hardware?

This must be a Mac problem, since streaming from iTunes on my iPhone works just fine.

The DNS 'solution' does not work for me, but I doubt it ever could since my iPhone uses the same DNS settings (from my router) since it is on the same network (wifi).

Here's part of my console log:

I'll try to reauthorize my Mac. Connections that are cancelled don't look right. Could be that Macs connect to different servers than iPhones, though. I would have expected some feedback in iTunes itself... Sloppy.

Is it possible to get a refund of my subscription money somewhere due to service downtime?

I've reauthorized my computer, removed the iTunes cache, all to no avail. When you take a look at the cache folder as described in this article: http://www.mcelhearn.com/where-itunes-caches-music-you-stream-with-apple-music-a nd-how-to-free-up-disk-space/I see that the songs are being downloaded. There seems to some other problem. Maybe it is the `Received Media Remote client notification <private>` message? Anyone seen this?

Looks there it was simply a matter of logging out and into my account from iTunes again... Skipping tracks is iTunes way of giving feedback that you have to login again... Maybe this is the solution for someone else as well, although in al the steps I took, trashing the iTunes cache, may have been part of the solution as well.

I got the same problem. I'm using Apple Music in Canada (if it's useful on anything).

First of all, I logged out and sign in again many times. Doesn't change anything for me.

Sometimes when I click on a track, iTunes skips that track and go to the next one, and the next one, and the next... Sometimes it skips 4 or 5 songs before it finally stops on a track. It is a sporadic problem, but recently, it happens very regularly.

If I click many times on the track, iTunes eventually plays it...!

A very frustrating problem. Worst since the update for sure.

Hello,

This might be a bit late (if not too late) but I just experienced this Apple Music skipping tracks problem. Songs in my local library played fine but I just couldn't stream Apple Music songs.

My solution was simply to logout in iTunes (Account > Signout) then log back in. The iCloud Music library performed its magic and everything went back in order. I hope this helps at least some of you!

`Apple Music` skips tracks.
