Internet connection issue Yosemite (10.10.4) - Virgin Media

Hello,

Since I'm connected to a virginmedia router, I've had some problem with WiFi connection. Every 15-20 min, my Mac loses internet but not the connection. I have to Turn Off - Turn On Wifi every time to solve this problem. So it's really annoying when I'm playing or watching something in streaming...

Once, when this issue happened, I tried to ping my router (ping 192.168.0.1) and It says "Request timeout for icmp_seq 0" but I'm still connected to the network...

Did/does anyone have the same issue ? How do you solve this ?

Thanks.

Try restarting the router.

WIFI AND BLUETOOTH FINALLY SOLVED, NO REALLY - YOSEMITE 10.10

If your Wi-Fi source is capable of generating a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, try that to help avoid conflicts with Bluetooth.

I have the same exact problem. The fault is not in the router, it is in the computer (Macbook Air early 2014). It came after the 10.10.4 update. WLAN stays connected, but the I can't ping the default gateway. If I turn the WLAN on/off, connection is working again. This happens quite many times in an hour, so it is very annoying. I have other computers MacBook Air (2011) with OS X 10.10.3, and it works ok.
