I have a new HP Laserjet Pro MFP M277 dw. HP claims to have the driver online but it is not there for this printer model. HP has been less than helpful in trying to resolve this. Must I return the printer? If so, what is a good, desktop printer/scanner for OS 10.9?
Please refer to Printer and scanner software available for download for your Mac - Apple Support and then search for your printer to see if it is supported. In order to add a new printer you only need to follow the steps in OS X Mavericks: Set up a printer
After connecting the printer it is always a good idea to run Software Update in the Mac App Store to see if the computer is up-to-date, if you see updates available then it's wise to install them.
