"Self declaration- conforming to IS 13252 (Part 1), R 41013773" what does this means...?

This description is for electrical product which want to import to India to put in.

Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) control this kind of product, it have to be tested with authorized local lab and get BIS approval(we called it Grant Letter)

IS means Indian Standard, 13252 means law 13252, it is used for adapter of IT equipments, R-Xxxxxxxx,means it's registration no under BIS.

Manufacturer need to make their product with same manufacturer, trademark... etc to get R No, after products get that it can be imported and sold to India

Only seen on Indian models of iPhones as shown in the picture above

In general that is a certification that a device meets the standards of electronic devices for use in India. But without knowing the context we can't tell you any more than that.

Because that phone was intended to be sold in India. It's like the UL certification for the US.

You've never bought a phone for India before. It is normal for an Indian phone. That doesn't guarantee it is genuine, but it is not an indication that it is not genuine.

Hi bro, I have recently bought iPhone 6, and i can see the same self declaration stuff written on my iPhone instead all dat Logos.

Can you tell me if u have come on any outcome by verifying dat iPhone in apple store?

I bought my iPhone day before yesterday from Flipkart.

Ya I got it checked from authorised apple service centre they said they have come across this thing in otheir products like Mac and iPad but never in iPhone they checked my warranty and software and said its a genuine product need not worry because maybe new phones apple is rolling out with this information so I am using my product
