Does anyone else have this as a model number in their iPhone 6 or 6+ models?
Even Apple Support was baffled by it

I have an iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Gold with Verizon which should be MGCQ2LL/A
I searched and only found a few results - one of which is this is an 'internal' Apple model whatever that means!

I have this model listed on my 128GB Gold iPhone 6Plus with AT&T. If it baffles the Apple folks how am I going to sell this? I guess I can try to find the receipt from Apple??? And, yes...like you, the model begins with an "N," and not an "M!" NGAR2LL/A. What the heck is going on? Thanks for any guidance. Johnny
If Apple Support was baffled, why would you think that other phone owners would know the explanation?
Was the iPhone a replacement under the warranty program, or the "Out of Warranty program?

The "N" designation often shows up in reports on the forum as a warranty replacement, but I admit I've not seen one here on the forum where the entire model number is different.
Yes the entire model number is different. We have two identical phones with one showing the proper VZW number and the other the N number. I figured that means they sent me a refurbished MGAR2LL/A (World model/A1522/ATT) and simply reprovisioned/locked it to VZW. Thanks very much for the reply!

Just a tip here- our local Apple Store would NOT work on or help with the phone with the strange model number. Be warned, I guess. Search for NGAR2LL/A and see
Yes we saw that and the 'internal' designation NG4N2LL/A of the one near the bottom was what prompted the search. We searched for MGAR2LL/A (with an M and not N) and it comes up as an unlocked iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Gold *for AT&T* on a few retailers' sites. Weird. The warranty phone we got is also completely unlocked which is odd
