Hi Mike,
From the feedback I have collated on this problem on this site, MacRumors and Instagram, the best thing to do (as soo as you can), is get it to a Genius Bar at an Apple Store, and call to get an appointment if that works for you. Not sure where you are located, so I am assuming you purchased the Watch at an Apple Store. I think by now, Apple must know there is a potential quality issue with the retina display near that area, or at least, a weakness.
If you are not located near any Apple store, and are concerned about how a third party service provider might deal with this, have your product purchase details with you, and some images (like the above), and contact the Apple Customer Support of your country (via the Apple website) and have them call you back. Try and get them to issue a case ID for you and work from there. It's sometimes easier when the problem is very unique that Apple knows about it first and then select the third party provider nearest to you for you to send the Watch in for review/assessment. All this is not necessary if you have a Genius Bar nearby, or at the same place you bought the Watch. Good luck and let us know if you have had any trouble anywhere...
Regards,
