Mail: image attachments turn to thumbnails when accessed on a pc

When you attach the message, are you setting the size with the popup menu?

Select the image and you will see a popup menu for the size. Once you set it, subsequent attachments will follow that setting until you change it again.

yes! its just on PCs. all they get is a tiny thumbnail.

Is it on all PCs? I doubt this is something OS X is doing. It is most likely on their end. If it goes out to other fine, then it is definitely their end. If you can isolate what those users have in common, that may give a clue how to work around.

I am experiencing the same issue. When sending pictures from Apple Mail to any PC, the pictures appear as tiny thumbnails on the PC. I can send the same picture via the Mail app on the iCloud website and it works fine.

Definitely an issue with Apple Mail.

Have you tried sending the same message to two different recipients that use different email systems? Perhaps it is the recipients server or email client doing the alterations.

Have you tried control - clicking the file and Select Compress.
