Luminari Font free for commercial Use?

Hi All,

I am sorry to bother you, but I can not seem to get a clean answer on this, and need your help desperately...

I was asked to design a logo round a font called Luminari.tff, I since found out that I got this font on my computer on the Yosemite upgrade. Since making the logo my client said that they seen the font for sale on download font site and has asked me to check if I am still ok to use it in his designs. I edited the font slightly, adding kicks and swirls and he plans to use the font as his logo on business card, leaflets, shop front, signs etc is this ok please?

I found a discussion by Kurt Lang and got the info from my computer its:

The font maker has provided it to Apple. If there is in fact no restriction on it for commercial use, it would not be in his best interest to tell you other wise. Odds are there isn't a problem since it is released under an Open Font program. But, no one here is really in a position to clarify that for you with absolute certainty (and posting here alone will not qualify as due diligence if a legal issue arises).

Please, there is no need to be rude. I'm just a little one person business and I'm just trying to gather information. I was just hoping there was a way for me to check each font before designing with them on the Mac itself without having to contact every Mac Font provider is all, I have contacted this particular person as you suggested because I want to be thorough...

but I'm just wondering for the future or should I just stick to Adobe specific fonts for the future? as I usually do, as I'm assuming if they came with the Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator etc that these fonts are licensed for my kind of work? It's just that Luminari appeared in my Adobe Suite automatically.
