I'm having trouble with my contacts and other activities on my iPhone 5s that require entering my gmail password. I am entering the correct password (I can sign in to Gmail with this password from other locations, like from my mac). I cannot figure out how to get this to work. As a result, contacts in my phone that have required entering the password are not syncing (not saved?). How do I resolve this?

This sounds like a Google device or app specific password issue.

Thank you! That worked. Now can you help me with how to get all of my Notes to transfer to iCloud or Gmail?
Notes in iCloud or Gmail are formatted for their servers.
You will not be able to easily transfer them from one account to another.
If they are local or just on the device you can turn Off then on Notes.
So Setting > iCloud
Turn notes off
If prompted, save them to the iPhone
Turn on notes
If asked merge
Saving new contact, Gmail password not correct
