How to update iPad 1 for higher ios

HI, I've got iOS 5.1 on mi iPad 3G ,and I'm try to download some apps and games and system say I need higher iOS ,does anyone knows how to resolve this issue.

Buy a newer iPad that will support the newer version of iOS.


Your iPad doesn't have the hardware required for any version newer then iOS 5.1.1

Whether or not an app has a version available for older iOS versions is entirely up to the app vendor. Some do (Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support), but many do not. You can of course contact any vendor, but at this point it is highly unlikely any vendor that does not currently support 5.1.1 will elect to do so.
