Accidentally locked myself out of my 4th generation ipod (ios 6.1.3) if I restore the ipod will I be able to retrieve my old apps from itunes?

I set a pass-code on my 4th generation ipod (ios 6.1.3) and ended up forgetting my password and locking myself out. If I restore the ipod will I be able to retrieve snapchat from my itunes? The snapchat version I use is an older one, I can't run the current version of snapchat because I don't have ios 7. I am aware that I won't be able to retrieve my photos/videos, that doesn't matter to me, I just still want to be able to run snapchat on my ipod. Thanks.
