Yes It even looked like the %s was a better fit. I am concernerned however 21) about the hole for the strap scratching the chassis of the iPod touch as its open and also since this touch is thinner than all the 5's, either ones, that it will slip easily out of the case.

And products like Zagg's screen films and glass are slightly different but of more concern are the extra holes for the receivers on the phone and Im wondering if the camera holes on those protectors are chamfered to exactly the new touch. It still make me wonder who is gong to buy a touch before someone out there makes an iPod touch specific case, shell and screen protector.

Thank you for the attention to the question. I want to purchase but also want to protect still and aren't convinced.Or encouraged by Apple not even having a simple Speck shell manufactured at the time of release for the new touches.Not good.
