Hi
I just upgraded my imac to Yosemite and now whenever i want to open Illustrator, Photoshop, indesign CS5 or CS6 i get the message that i need to install the older version of Java SE 6-Runtime. I probable have it somewhere on my backup. Can someone explain how i can reinstall it or where i can download it and reinstall it?

A commenter, eric3k, has told me that creating two empty folders may also fix this issue. You might want to give that a try. The two folders are:
/System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundleYou can create these with the following commands:

I just clicked "get java" in the dialog box, installed the version Adobe suggested and it's working fine so having to go to the terminal was unnecessary.

Those can be handy commands. I have apps that need versions 6 and 8 of Java installed. You install 8 from Oracle, then run the two Terminal commands. It creates the two empty stub file entries. The apps that look for those to confirm Java 6 is installed are happy, and they then run under Java 8.
