After update to Yosemite, Windows won't start

Yes, the Yosemite update crippled my Bootcamp partition too. Unfortunately I stumled upon Bootcamp and Yosemite upgrade - potential data loss warning too late to read the warnings...

I’ve a Macbook Pro (early 2011) that runs Windows 7 most of the time. Four years without problems - the Macbook is the best Windows computer ever!

After I experienced some hard to trace Windows crashes in the past days, I thought it was a good idea to start the computer in OS X and check for updates. One of them was Yosemite and as the other updates went smooth, I thought Yosemite would be be a piece of cake too. An error message appeared while installing (something about MBR I think) and now I can only start in OS X, although the Windows partition is still there.

I have read some good tips from the uber-fixer Loner T in Bootcamp and Yosemite upgrade - potential data loss warning, so here is the output from the commands. I hope there is some advice for my disk too :-)

1. You are missing Recovery HD, if you are running any version of OSX not called Snow Leopard. Do you know what was down to it?

2. Please post the output of

sudo dd if=/dev/rdisk0s3 count=1 2>/dev/null | hexdump -C

3. Was the Yosemite Recovery Update applied? The Recovery HD is about 1,269,536 sectors, which does not fit the gap of 262,592 sectors.

4. Was this disk a second disk on another Mac, which may have the Recovery HD on it?

First of all, many thanks for the lightning fast support Loner T!

Your questions:

1. The Macbook came 2011 with Snow Leopard, after 2 years I replaced the SSD with a bigger one. I installed Snow Leopard on the new SSD from the CD. Then I had some trouble to use de Samsung data migration tool to migrate the Windows stuff. I remember vaguely I had to use another tool to fix something (hybrid MBR?), maybe then something went wrong. It could also be I deleted at that time the recovery partition by myself, thinking it was wasted space as the Macbook starts always in Windows.

2. The dump:

Seems I'm out of luck:

Disk /dev/rdisk0 - 512 GB / 476 GiB - 1000215216 sectors (RO)

The harddisk (512 GB / 476 GiB) seems too small! (< 993 GB / 925 GiB)

Check the harddisk size: HD jumpers settings, BIOS detection...

The following partitions can't be recovered:

Partition Start End Size in sectors

> MS Data 1000210431 1941153790 940943360

MS Data 1000214527 1890381822 890167296

Is there anything else that I can do? If not, luckily I've a back-up but it involves to download a lot of data from the cloud, a fixed disk would be easier :-)
