iTunes 12 not recognizing iPhone 5

Hello, I am using iTunes 12.2.1.16 and have been having issues with getting my iPhone 5 to show up in the top left corner. I had an older version of iTunes before - which worked - but saw there was an update so I updated it. Now my phone can't be recognized. I have tried every tutorial on how to fix this. I've tried downgrading iTunes but couldn't get it to run; I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes about 7 times; I've tried the 'older graphics card' version of iTunes; I've tried stopping and restarting the apple mobile service; I've tried using different cables and different USB ports; I've tried using a different computer; I've tried changing the driver the USB port uses to read data from my phone. The computer recognizes my phone, but iTunes doesn't. Please help.

Hey xMrPoi,
I know it can be frustrating when your iPhone does not show in iTunes, especially after reinstalling multiple times. Let's see if we can get it sorted out s you can get back to syncing your iPhone with you computer.
I know you have done quite a bit of troubleshooting so far. Take a look at the article below to compare with what you have already done. Take a close look at the reinstall iTunes and make sure to follow the uninstallation order as that does make a difference when reinstalling iTunes.
