Possible Iphone 7 Scam

I was surfing the internet when a pop up appeared and told me that I had been randomly selected to receive a iPhone 7 as part of a focus test. The pop up forced me to click an OK button and then redirected me to a website iphone.com-rewards.xyz where it is asking me to fill out a survey. I haven't done this as I assume this is a scam. I searched the Apple website looking for an appropriate place to inform/verify that this was indeed a scam. Not having found a suitable place I choose to post this here. Thanks for the help.

This happened to me aswell.

- Press the home button,

- Double click the home button and then tap on the open 'Safari'.

You will have to do the next 2 steps very quickly.

- Press the two pages overlapping in the bottom right corner,

- Press the X at the top left corner of the open tab with the scam that popped up.

Hope these instructions help anyone with this problem.

1. You are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user forum.

2. As users we have no idea what may have happened to your iPhone. Perhaps if you provide details about what happened someone can point you in the right direction to get it sorted.

3. Please do not post your home address in a public forum where anyone and i do mean anyone can grab it and be sending things to you.

Indeed it is a scam. Apple have not announced any plans for a new iPhone let alone what its name would be. There is no iPhone 7 at this time, and nothing to indicate there will be one in the near future.

If you wish to report the site to Apple you can use this page to do so:

https://www.apple.com/legal/more-resources/phishing/

It mostly refers to E-Mails but you can send the url of the website their way as well.

Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking list. Find Safari and swipe upwards on the thumbnail to force closed the app. Then go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website data. After that, do a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo. After the phone reboots, you can open Safari again.
