Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I am considering getting a windows computer for high school, but because I program for iOS I am wondering if apple might be releasing Xcode for windows in the near future (within the next year)?

Best is to get a Mac.
Then you can run OS X and Windows.
As HyperNova said, speculation is forbidden. But I think it is safe to say that the answer is "no".
Keith was not speculating... he was making an educated guess which I would characterize as "anything is possible, but do not hold you breath waiting for a windows version of XCode"
