BC/Windows is supported on both 1TB and 3TB Fusion drives. Use BCA only to install Windows. Manual partitioning and installation are very error prone.

Excellent and thanks for that. One basic question though. Does the assistant actually partition the drive or does the windows stuff end up in a hidden folder or something? Option key at start up to select? Thanks
Woops...one other question.
Does time machine back up the boot camp partition?
1. There is a physical partition containing Windows. It is visible to Disk Utility, Finder, etc. on the OSX side. Windows can also see OSX files. This access is read-only and does not work on Yosemite or higher depending on the specifics of your Mac.
2. TM does not backup BC/Windows. It has no support for NTFS. Please use Windows Backup/Restore and use a separate external physical disk formatted as NTFS to store Windows backups.
