Can't Create Primary Zone, Other Records

I had an issue with Apple Yosemite server where all my records were suddenly gone and server would not let me create replacement records. I can't even create a primary zone. Nothing happens -- but I don't receive any errors. Should I just uninstall server and reinstall? As far as I know, there is no uninstaller. I guess I just dump the program in the trash and reboot?


I notice that DNS frequently goes offline, so there are more problems other than DNS.


Any ideas?

I want to blow the entire setup away. I stopped DNS via server consle, renamed the /Library/Server/named directory to .old, and the restarted the server via console.. Nothing hapened! I was wondering if I haave to unintall Server, reboot the Mac, and then reinstall it?


Any ideas would be helpful!
