I have an iPod touch 4th gen which is now gripped by the white screen of death.
The home button doesn't work (I use the screen button available via General settings) and I cannot use itunes to restore as the iPod has a password- which I can't access given the white screen.
ANy ideas?

i have connected my iPod to iTunes (or tried to). The white screen of death remains and I get the message ( on the laptop) 'iTunes could not connect to the iPod touch because it's locked with a password. you must enter your password on the iPod touch before you can use it.'
I can't enter the password at the iPod screen is blank baby ideas?

If you can’t force restart or use recovery mode because of broken buttons, contact Apple Support.
