How can you check what Downloads or Updates you have done? Also I have Norton Security through Comcast, should I turn off the Firewall in Norton Security & keep the Firewall on that came with my iMac or vise versa? Thank-You in advance for any help.

On the subject of Norton, you should get rid of Norton entirely. It's crap. Possibly one of the worst of the awful pile of steaming poo that is Mac Antivirus software.
It's completely unnecessary.
KiltedTim is totally correct regarding Norton, in addition any antivirus app on OS X is not only a totally unnecessary but a waste of system resources. Locate Norton's uninstall instructions and follow them to the letter. There are no viruses for OS X, however there is a VERY small amount of malware however that is easily avoided with a small amount of common sense.
