My iPhone is stuck on the reset loading bar

iiPhone 5s iOS 8. I had a problem with the headphone jack and had to do a full system reset. The loading bar for the reset went up a quarter of the way and has just stopped. I've held the home button and top button and volume so it can reset but it still comes back to the loading bar. I've connected the 5s to a Apple mac laptop and tried to do a reset that way but it fails each time I try. Is there a way in which I can resolve this problem without going to Apple direct and loosing my phone for ages ?? Ow and I've had it less than a year so does it come under manufacturing warrenty?? Pls help
