So I'm trying to update my iphone 6, I get error code 53, I've followed all the steps on the apple website to no prevail, my home button does not work and the phone is out of warranty.... Is there anything I can do without having the phone repaired?

It's impossible to use an iPhone without the Home button working properly.
when it works its fine with the on screen home button...

The iphone 6 came out last September so it is NOT out of Warranty ie 12months
Make an Appointment at Apple Store before September .
