Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
If I enable the hotspot on my phone, it appears a device on my computer, but when I try to connect using the designated password, it fails. I am currently using a friends hotspot which I have no trouble connecting to. When I try to connect to my phone, I turn the other one off.

AAre you able to connect to your laptop using a usb hotspot from your phone.
The only computer I have is a Win 7 PC. I'm connecting to internet now on a borrowed hotspot; works fine. If I turn it off and try to connect to phone, it won't connect.
Which of the above ways are you trying to connect?
I have tried the wifi and the USB connections.
