iphone 4S screen suddenly has multicolor vertical lines going down the screen yet the phone still works but my warranty has passed what can i do and what will the costs be? or should i order a new one online for 100$?

From your post I understand that your iPhone is displaying vertical lines on the screen. Before determining whether you need to get your iPhone serviced, please follow the steps below.


If you see lines, missing sections, discoloration, or poor image quality

  1. Try to restart your device. If you can't restart, force restart your device.
  2. If this doesn't work, restore your device.
  3. If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.
