how to turn OFF Home sharing

I turned ON Home Sharing on my Macbook Air and now my PC will not recognize the home internet connection. How do I turn OFF Home Sharing. I'm trying to migrate my music from my PC to my McAir, as well as my documents. I tried to find an option for turning of Home sharing, but haven't been able to. New MacAir and I'm having trouble learning the Apple system of doing things.
