Apple Pay email is incorrect

When loading my card, one of the steps is that it asks you where to send a verification message...the email option is using an email which is my email, but it has a typo error. My Apple ID email details are correct as I use it for ITunes Store...and I have double checked it on Manage Apple ID. where is it getting this rogue email address from and how do I change it ?

It sounds like your "notification email address" or another email address registered to your Apple ID (aside from your primary email) has the error in it, so it needs to be fixed.


For example, if you provide an email address with your shipping information when you buy from the Apple Online Store, that address automatically becomes your "notification address". Your primary address also receives a copy of all Apple ID email that Apple sends to your notification address, which is why you may not have realised there was an error before now.


To check and edit your notification and/or other email addresses, follow these steps:

  • Go to My Apple ID
  • Select Manage your Apple ID and sign in.
  • To edit, for example, a notification address:
    • Select Edit next to the address, then enter the new address. Apple will send a verification email to that address. Didn't receive the email?
    • Follow the instructions in the email to verify the address.
  • To delete an address, select Delete next to the address.
