Frozen Finder! I accidentally exported entire Photos library to desktop.

I have over 30,000 pictures on my desktop that I can't delete or undo. I have tried to trash them in safe boot mode but can't as the Finder isn't responding. Please help! I am running the latest version of Yosemite and Photos.

OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

Do you have another Mac that you can use to connect to your Mac. If so connect your Mac to the borrowed Mac in Target Disk Mode, Transferring files between two computers using FireWire.

Now you can open view your boot drive from the borrowed Mac as if it were an external HD. Go to your Users/Home/Desktop folder and view in list view. Create a new folder, select all of the image files and move them to the folder. You can then delete the folder and empty the trash or reboot your Mac and do the deletion there or use the photos as desired.

First, let me thank you for your reply.

Second, I tried your suggestion and it worked!!! My Husband has a MacBook and I have a Firewire cable. I couldn't create a new file to move the photos, but I was able to delete the files by moving my entire Desktop folder to the Trash. I was happy with that after many failed attempts at other suggestions. Thank you so much for your help.
