Apple watch battery calibration

Does anyone know if the Apple watch battery needs to be calibrated on a regular basis like Apple recommends for the battery in the iPhone?

Hi Mark

By way of a fuller answer to your question:

  • Calibration for the Apple Watch battery is neither required (to comply with warranty conditions) nor recommended Apple.
  • The battery is designed to retain up to 80 per cent of its original capacity at 1,000 complete charge cycles.
    • If it falls significantly short of this within the warranty period, it will likely qualify for replacement under warranty.
    • An out-of-warranty battery replacement costs £72.44 (UK, including shipping) or $79 + shipping + tax (US).
