What is wrong with the iPod that it needs to be refurbished?Apple offers a recycling program and for the iPod they can give you 10% off a new one if you bring it into an Apple Store. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store (or do the service online or by phone) and you can pay to do an out-of-warranty replacement. You will receive a like model unit for a fixed fee (you never said which model you have so i can't quote a price). It will have a 90 day warranty. It will be lower in price than buying a refurbished unit in the Apple Store but the warranty is one-year on those devices. And it does apply to Nanos.
You would be better off getting a new one. IF you bring it to an Apple Store they may offer an Out of warranty replacement, but I am not sure if that applies to iPod nanos.
It has been water damaged.

how does the refurbishing proccess work though? If I was to Get another iPod of any kind would it be an option then?
