Slow App Store downloads

I have an unlimited download 37Mb broadband connection which I have absolutely no issues with whatsoever on every speed test I run. I can stream HD video off the Internet with no lag at all, so the problem's not at my end.

Yet my iPhone 6 and iPad Air2 seem to have issues downloading anything from the App Store with any speed at all. It's like access to the App Store is back in the Stone Age on a dial up modem or something!

Initially I thought it was Apple getting ready for iOS9 but that's weeks away, so is anyone else experiencing this, or do you know of a fix for this issue?

AM in London, last couple days seeing extremely slow App Store and iTunes Store downloads on iOS devices Most of the time. at it's worst in the evening. No other web services are slow, it's just Apple Store downloads.

Yes, downloading from the App Store at a snail's pace in Madrid for over a week. 45 minutes to delete then install Facebook on my iPhone. Embarrassingly it took 11 seconds to download and install it on the Android tablet we have.

Same problems in Espana (Valencia) very slow apple store this week.

Same here in Manila, Philippines. App downloads are painfully slow even for just a 10mb app. Been like this for like 4 days.

Same here in Macedonia. On the iPhone is painfully slow, it takes hours to restore from a complete iCloud backup, all night actually.

What i've noticed is that if you change the DNS on the Wi-Fi but not on your device, instead on your Mac, it actually downloads very fast!!! I've changed to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on the home network and magic! it downloads apps on iTunes on my Mac very fast. So i'm going to download apps on iTunes on the Mac first, then i'm going to sync my iPhone to iTunes. Little old-fashioned, but hey it works! We have no other choice. Tried everything! Change the DNS on my device, rebooted/reset the device, reset network settings, even RESTORE doesn't work...

Same problems here in Belgium. Downloadspeed of 50mbps and it took 20min to download 18mb.... It's been a few days now maybe a week or 2...

Same here in Mexico I have a 20Mbps download speed and it took ages just for the facebook and messenger for facebook apps to download... the funny thing is that the annoying IOS actualizations always download very quickly

Having exactly the same issue in Melbourne.

Only seems to be on apple app downloads, normally internet and email is great.
