Camera not connecting

Hi, my camera in my Macbook air is not connecting. every time i open photo booth or FaceTime it says camera not connected. someone please help me fix this?

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

As Linc has already told you, it really does apply.


Over time, Apple changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."

Regardless of the name of your camera, the same http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090 info and troubleshooting applies.
