Problems with klipsch X11i ear phones

Hi,

I recently got my iPhone 6, which runs iOS 8.4. I'm using klipsch X11i ear buds to listen to my music. I found a coupe of problems though, that I'm not sure are down to the ear buds.

1) sometimes i have to press the play button several times, or for a longer time, before my iPhone registers the button press. I never habe that with my iPhone 4s, my pre iOS iPod nano, and my galaxy s5.

2) sometimes songs are skipping Midway to the next song. At first I thought it was my ear buds degrading, but again, this never happens in my other devices. Today I noticed the skipping wasn't random. I noticed it does it for a particular timeframe of a song. I need to forward the song beyond that timeframe before it continues to play the song. This does not happen on any of my other devices.

I haven't tried with other earphones yet. I'm actually wondering if the music app in iOS 8.4 has an issue where it misinterprets parts of a song as an ending of a song.
