What is the meaning of reel, scene and take under the info tab in the inspector? What kind of information should I put in these fields?

I am trying to get my videos organized. Can anyone please explain what the meaning of these fields are (reel, scene and take)?

This is lingo from the old days:

when cinema was chemically based, a camera was fed with reels; and when delivered and projected, the film was divided into reels.

'scene' means a <cough> scene, the screenplay is divided into.... ah, c'mon, you know what a scene is! 😉

And 'take' is, when a director and/or actor plays the same scene again and again and again......

'reels' has no real meaning anymore in the digital age.

'scene' is very important… when you produce scripted material.

'take' - same, scripted shows sometimes have maaaany takes.

but you're not limited to those 'technical' data:

the elaborated tagging system of FCPX can do marvel... when used smart.
