Installed windows 7 in a bootcamp partion on my macbook pro. I updated this to windows 10. All was working fine but now my macbook cant see the widows partition to boot from. Nor will it see it the the startup disk options.
Any help greatly appreciated.

What is disk1 and is it connected during the W7 installation?
These are some additional commands that are also helpful.
diskutil cs list
sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0
sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
The "sudo" commands will prompt for your password, and it will not be echoed back. You may also see a warning about improper use of "sudo" and potential data loss due to "abuse" of the command.
Disk 1 i think is the nifty sd card holder and yes it is kept permanently in.

Please post screen shots. They seem to be easier. You can also widen the Terminal window to reduce the wrapped text.
Please post the output of
sudo dd if=/dev/rdisk0s4 count=1 2>/dev/null | hexdump -C
This will show the first block of your Windows partition, which should have a valid NTFS header.
Can you download Testdisk from http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download and then run it from Terminal? Please see https://imgur.com/a/PjmnK as a set of startup UI screens.
It's running now.
Will this give me a results file to post up ?
