Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Installed windows 7 in a bootcamp partion on my macbook pro. I updated this to windows 10. All was working fine but now my macbook cant see the widows partition to boot from. Nor will it see it the the startup disk options.
Any help greatly appreciated.

First you need to scroll down and find the first MS Data. Once you find it, post a screen shot. We need to determine and verify the correct partition to look further into.
Are there any more entries after the last Mac HFS highlighted?

Using your first MS Data entry at 407482107 and the size from the MBR, there is an issue.
The NTFS End is outside the physical disk boundary and hence invalid. Was the Windows partition resized at any point? Is it about 46Gb?
the windows partition was set at 50GB
I did enlarrge the apple partition to fill the extra space as it didn't appear to fill it
Has the Windows partition been resized at any point? Resizing OS X is done via Disk Utility and modified the GPT, but your MBR is also pointing to a partition but is has no NTFS header.
I don't think i resized the windows partition

Can you describe the steps in greater detail? It would help provide additional clues and what other options may work.
ok I'll start from the beginning. I'd updated win 7 to windows 10
I used disk utility to make some room on the disk to make windows partition bigger
Ahh I did resize the windows partition up to 50 GB using a free partition manager. Paragon i think.
Everything was working fine. I then noticed in disk utility there was some free space not taken up by either os so i dragged the os partition down
to fill the space.
It stopped working after that
1. On a BIOS/MBR installation, when resized, the MBR gets updated, not the GPT. It is out-of-sync at this point.
2. The moment you do anything from the DU/GPT side, it will overwrite your MBR, if you are not careful.
3. After step 1, a backup of the MBR and GPT is a MUST before any further partitioning operations are made. Do you have a back up of the GPT/MBR after step 1.
4. This is why Apple does not recommend any partitioning tools when Bootcamp is installed.
5. Do you have any screen shots or MBR copies after the Paragon changes? If not, unless you need the current files from the Windows partition, the best option is to wipe the current Windows and re-install a new copy.
6. Restore from a Windows backup the files that you need, provided you have created/kept such copies.
unfortunately i don't have a backup or screenshots so I'l have to go with the reinstall.I won't loose much fortunately
