Air Play icon is missing

I have recently updated to Windows 10 and now my Airplay icon is missing in iTunes, so I cant stream to my apple TV or can I use the remote app on my iTunes.

Home sharing is on, on all devices.

The firewall is allowing borjour though and borjour is running as should.

I have change the protocol in the network center form 6 to 4 but still nothing.

Please help.

Hello there, Essexnigel.

It sounds like you are not seeing the AirPlay icon when trying to stream content to your Apple TV. The following Knowledge Base article offers some great information for troubleshooting:

Use AirPlay to wirelessly stream content from iTunes on your computer - Apple Support

Use AirPlay

  1. Connect your computer and Apple TV or AirPort Express to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open iTunes.
  3. Click User uploaded file to the right of the volume slider in iTunes. You'll see this icon only when you have an AirPlay-enabled device on the same Wi-Fi network. In a smaller iTunes window, you might see User uploaded file instead of the volume slider. Click User uploaded file to see available AirPlay-enabled devices.

  4. Tap the name of the device you want to stream content to. You'll see icons of a TV screen User uploaded file or speaker User uploaded file next to each device so you know what type of content you can stream.

If you don't see the AirPlay icon in iTunes

When an AirPlay-enabled device is available, you'll see User uploaded file to the right of the volume slider in iTunes.

If you don't, try these steps:

  1. Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes and Apple TV software.
  2. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network. If you're using Ethernet, connect both devices to the same router or hub. If you're using Wi-Fi and Ethernet, connect your AirPlay device to the same router that your computer is using for Wi-Fi.
  3. Restart your computer, AirPlay device, and network router.
  4. On your AirPlay device, make sure that AirPlay is turned on. Some devices have an option to turn AirPlay off. Look for an AirPlay option in Settings, or check the user guide for more information.
